Stargazing on Nantucket at the Maria Mitchell Association – Loines Observatory
After a day in the sun, gaze at the moon and stars in the night sky.
Join professional astronomers for an impressive tour of Nantucket’s starry sky and telescopic viewing of the Moon, planets, nebulae, galaxies, and more. Programs take place at 59 Milk Street Extension and are weather permitting. No pre-registration is necessary; however, a taxi is needed to get to/from the observatory.

Stargazing Night

Family Astronomy Night
Come with your child to discover the “creatures” found in the night sky and learn how to identify stars and constellations. Children will learn about the myths behind the creatures in the “celestial zoo,” and visit the public and research telescopes.
