Born and raised on Nantucket, Captain Jon Holdgate has spent his life on the water. Coming from a family with deep island fishing roots, Jon began fishing alongside his parents as a young child and earned his commercial fishing license at just 15 years old. Today, he is one of Nantucket’s most respected young captains, running both commercial scalloping operations and private charter excursions throughout the waters surrounding the island.

With years of firsthand experience navigating Nantucket Sound and the Atlantic Ocean, Captain Jon is passionate about sharing the island’s incredible marine environment with guests.
