Dear Guest,
In May, Governor Baker has lifted all remaining COVID-19 restrictions in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts relating to the pandemic as part of his administration’s reopening plan. This includes rescinding the mask mandate that has been in place since the pandemic started, for most industries. However, considering that a large percentage of the population has yet to be vaccinated, and as a safety precaution, we at the The Nantucket Hotel will continue to operate with certain safeguards that insure everyone’s ongoing safety.
- Choice of morning, afternoon or evening daily housekeeping service. Of course, if you want to skip service entirely just let us know and we can easily provide you with fresh towels, new amenities and trash removal as needed throughout your stay.
- We kindly ask all non-vaccinated guests and patrons to continue to take precautions to ensure their health and wellbeing by continuing to wear a mask while both indoors and outdoors when proper social distancing cannot be established.
- As of 8/3, due to the uptick of infections, the various Boards of Health on Nantucket issued a COVID advisory on mask wearing when in enclosed spaces where one is unable to socially distance. As a result all Nantucket Hotel staff will wear masks indoors and we will require masks in Nantucket Hotel shuttle vans for all guests and staff members regardless of vaccination status.
- Aligning with MA DESE regulations – we will continue to request that all of our younger guests participating in the children’s programming and Activities Staff to continue to wear masks while indoors.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Regards,
Jamie Holmes
