Kiteboarding with Next Level Watersports

Nantucket is a kiteboarders dream. Take some lessons or train at Next Level Watersports, the first town-approved kiteboarding school on the Island.

The shallow waters of Nantucket Harbor are the ideal setting for perfecting your kiteboarding skills or trying the sport for the first time. Nantucket now boasts the first ever, town-approved kiteboarding school, founded in 2016 by Jon Beery and Jake Hoefler.

Jon and Jake were both previous coaches at one of the most prestigious kiteboarding schools in the world situated on the Outer Banks in North Carolina. They decided to pursue their goal of opening their own kiteboarding school on Nantucket. Jon is a former CPA who wanted to follow his dream full-time and Jake is a ex-Division I college hockey athlete who had similar aspirations. They are eager to share their skills and knowledge of the sport with interested, adventuresome participants and will also be happy to pick-up Nantucket Hotel guests and transport them to the Harbor for lessons.

Jon, Jake, and their staff at Next Level Watersports offer daily private, semi-private, and multi-day kiteboarding lessons and instructions and also provide training. Participants can choose from a variety of three-hour lesson stages from beginner level to advanced. They also specialize in kite camps for those who want to dedicate more time to perfecting their skills. In addition, Next Level Watersports also features wakeboarding instruction, as well as hydrofoiling, and tubing excursions so you can experience the most exciting watersports’ activities that Nantucket has to offer.
